NESU / C.O.P.S.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for showing your support in the NESU / C.O.P.S. election that was held on March 11th, 2005.

As you know, American Medical Response challenged the affiliation between NESU and C.O.P.S. This issue put a stop to the contract negotiations. In order to resolve this matter as quick as possible, an agreement was reached to hold an election.

The Election was held by the National Labor Relations Board on March 11th, 2005.

Two hundred and twenty-three (223) out of two hundred and ninety-nine (299) eligible members participated in the election.

The final tally was 212 to 11 in favor of NESU / C.O.P.S which resulted in a Landslide (VICTORY) for the members of NESU / C.O.P.S.

FYI

Remember, January is just around the corner and contract negotiations will be starting soon. Members should begin scheduling Union meetings and gathering proposals for the upcoming negotiations.

The sooner we get your proposals, the sooner we can meet to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have.

If your current contract is stored on electronic media, please e-mail it to info@copsunion.com . We are updating our database and would like to have available as much comparable data as possible before we begin the 2005 negotiations.

Thank you and enjoy the Holidays.
